Ingredients: Holy Basil (Krishna & Rama), Tulsi Basil (Vana), Pandan Leaf, Ginger Root
About this blend:
A deeply grounding herbal infusion featuring three varieties of sacred basil revered in Ayurvedic tradition, paired with the gentle warmth of ginger and the soothing aromatics of pandan. This blend is crafted for moments when you need to come back to yourself — to settle the mind, soften the body, and return to stillness.
Holy Basil — Krishna & Rama Varieties (Ocimum tenuiflorum) — Holy Basil, known in Sanskrit as Tulsi or the Queen of Herbs, is one of the most revered plants in the Ayurvedic tradition, where it has been used for over 3,000 years. Tulsi is classified as an adaptogen — a class of herbs traditionally understood to help the body adapt to the everyday demands of stress while supporting overall balance and resilience. Krishna Tulsi is known for its more peppery, clove-like flavor and is traditionally associated with grounding and calming properties. Rama Tulsi is slightly milder and sweeter, and has long been used to support mental clarity and ease.
What are adaptogens?
Adaptogens are a special category of herbs that have been used for centuries in Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine. They are traditionally understood to help the body maintain balance in response to everyday physical and emotional stress. Rather than having a single targeted effect, adaptogens are thought to work holistically, supporting the body's natural ability to find equilibrium.
Tulsi Basil — Vana Variety (Ocimum gratissimum) — Vana Tulsi, or forest basil, grows wild in many parts of Asia and Africa and is the most aromatic of the three Tulsi varieties in this blend. It has a light, almost lemony clove-like fragrance and has traditionally been used in Ayurvedic wellness practices for its uplifting and clarifying properties. Together the three Tulsi varieties create a rich, layered herbal experience.
Pandan Leaf (Pandanus amaryllifolius) — Pandan is a tropical plant long prized in Southeast Asian culinary and wellness traditions. Its long, vibrant green leaves carry a uniquely sweet, floral, and slightly vanilla-like aroma. In traditional wellness practices across Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia, pandan has been used for its calming and soothing properties. It adds a beautiful aromatic quality to this blend that softens and rounds out the intensity of the basil varieties.
Ginger Root (Zingiber officinale) — Ginger anchors this blend with its warming, grounding energy. Traditionally used across many cultures for its ability to support healthy circulation and warmth in the body, ginger helps create a sense of physical groundedness that complements the mind-settling qualities of the Tulsi herbs.
How to use: Steep 1-2 teaspoons in hot water for 7-10 minutes. Best enjoyed in the evening or during moments of rest.
